Our story, mission, and vision
The Rise Community Based Organisation (CBO) was founded in 2017 in Kahawa West by Mary Muthoni Simiyu as a small youth group. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the organisation expanded its work to include children's mentorship and safe space sessions within the community.
Over time, the organisation identified critical challenges such as rising teenage pregnancies, school dropouts, and lack of economic opportunities for women. This led to the introduction of women empowerment programs, mental health awareness, and skills training initiatives.
To provide a nurturing space for children, youth, and women to learn, express creativity, and grow their talents while mentoring young mothers to overcome challenges and build sustainable futures.
To nurture a generation where every talent, education, and mentorship creates lasting empowerment and opportunities for all.
Be part of a community that is transforming lives every day.
